Whortleberry Press has released its Valentine’s Day Anthology last week. The stories are all Sci-Fi, fantasy or horror. I have a story in it called My Celluloid Valentine and it’s a paranormal fantasy (or is it?). You’ll have to read it to find out if it’s a fantasy or the truth. It was one that came to me whole and practically wrote itself. I love it when that happens.

New Winter-Themed Anthology Out Today
Today is the release day for a new Anthology from Still Moments Publishing. There are four romance stories that are related to being snowed in. The cover of this book is pretty spectacular to me.
I hope you’ll pick up a copy for reading in front of your own fire on a cold winter day. A cup of cocoa, a cozy chair and a warm blanket will be all you need to add to escape on a few romantic adventures.

2011 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
My First Album
My first Album I bought with my own money was an Osmond Brothers Album- I can't remember the name of the Album but it was the one with "One Bad Apple" on it. I lived in Virginia and bought it at the grand opening of a Zayre's store. It was under five dollars since my allowance at the time was $5.00 a week.
An Unlikely Delicacy
THOUSAND ISLAND? REALLY?
Haloumi Cheese, Zaatar & Tomato Pizzas
Pizza dipped in Thousand Island dressing. My cousin and her family, Texans, introduced me to this. It definitely sounds weird but it's quite yummy. Try it!
If I Were President…
I would look much older than I am. I would've gone almost completely grey in my first year or so in office. The burdens of the office are much more intense than the benefits, in my opinion. Who wants to have the weight of the world on their shoulders and get old before you need to? Not me! I'll pass.
A Favorite Game Show
I'd love to be on Cash Cab. Not so much for the priize money but because I enjoy Ben and the questions. I'm a huge trivia nut and I do pretty well answering the questions- the other great thing about being on Cash Cab would mean I was in one of my favorite cities- New York! .

A Book that Changed My Life
Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective
A book that changed my life would have to be The Collected Tales of Sherlock Holmes. I was very young when I started reading them. They made my imagination soar and I could picture the smoggy, dreary London of the era. It made me read all I could about the history of the British Isles. I think it was the spark that lit the fire for me to want to be a writer. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a master and his detective had a huge impact on me. Who doesn't love the line, "the game's afoot."
I've been to the museum at 221B Baker Street and have had a pint or two at The Sherlock Holmes pub. Good times!
If I Could Only Eat One Meal the Rest of My Life
If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would have to be chicken and dumplings. I love, love, love them. A pot of chicken and dumplings is a comfort food that reminds me of my maternal grandmother. She always made sure she had some on the stove when I came to visit. She never said she loved me, but the dumplings were the proof that she did. She was an excellent country cook. Just yummy!!
