Super Excited

Standard

I’m super excited to be flying to New York on Friday to see Alan Rickman in a play called Seminar on Saturday. He’s absolutely my favorite living actor and I’ve got 4th row tickets. I’m terrified that I’ll hyperventilate and pass out when he steps out onto the boards. Of course, if I die of a heart attack, I’ll go happy, right?

I’ll be sure to blog about the experience if I survive.  They may haul me out in one of these like he has on:

October 30, 2011- Two Year Anniversary

Standard

I started this blog way back on October 30, 2009. So much has changed since then. I was newly published in my very first anthology- appropriately a Halloween one- the story was called “The Arm” and was published by Whortleberry Press.  Since then, I’ve had three novels published under my romance pseudonym. I have three more romance novels under contract. I’ve also had 8 short stories published with two more coming out in time for Valentine’s Day.  I’m pleased with all I’ve accomplished in a short time and at how much  my writing skills have grown.  I have two other romance novels out on submission as well as a mystery novel. Here’s hoping for some good news on those. Although it may be that I’d stress myself out if they’re all accepted- lots of edits would be coming my way.

Here’s a fun picture of my nephew to celebrate Halloween Weekend and my blog anniversary:

New Story Coming Sept 2011

Standard

I have a new short story coming out September in a Halloween Anthology. The Anthology is called Halloween Hell-o-ween and it’s stories about tours of hell. My story is called Music Hall, Music Hell. It’s a tour of all the music clubs in hell. It’s a fun little story. I don’t  have a picture of the cover yet but as soon as I do, I’ll post it.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I miss the days that my kids wanted to dress up and have a ball. We used to have a big party every year but it seemed like our friends lost interest in it and I stopped. It’s a lot of work because I never want anyone to leave my house hungry, so when it seemed like my friends weren’t interested in coming anymore, I decided to stop going to all the trouble. I do miss it but my little stories I write help me get in the fall mood.

One day, I’d love to go to Salem, Massachusetts  for the holiday. It calls to me.  I think it would be an amazing place to celebrate.

Bizarreness

Standard

I’ve been crazy busy since I got back from Italy and realized it’s been a month since I blogged here. In a bizarre twist, my visits are up in the last week by over a 100 a day. What the heck? Is it better for me to be silent? LOL!  Here’s an awesome picture I took in Italy. I just love the textures in this picture.

Sorry for the Neglect

Standard

I’ve been busy, busy since I got back from NYC on the 3rd of July and now I’m off tomorrow to Italy so it’s been hard to get over here to blog. I’ll be back soon and will have a chance to be more proactive here. Hang tight for a while longer.

Funny Sign

Standard

When I was in Burbank, California, I went to this donut shop twice. It’s called Donut Prince. They have the  freshest, best donuts I’ve ever tasted. They have a wall of photos in the place with lots of celebrities that have been there.  This sign is on the window.  The lawyer in me loves it.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Standard

I adore Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  I go to see them every year for their Christmas shows. This year, FINALLY, they are having a spring tour performing their rock opera called Beethoven’s Last Night.  It’s an awesome soundtrack and I’m sure the show will be spectacular.  They are actually coming to PENSACOLA!!!!  I’m thrilled. I’m a member of the fan club and tickets went on sale today. While I was busy in court, my paralegal was ordering six tickets. I’m treating my staff, my fan club president and my sister to the concert. We are on the 3rd row on the floor AND, best of all, I got the coveted aisle seat. Being claustrophobic, this is a big coup!
